Berlin’s contemporary art scene is set for an exciting new exhibition this spring. GROUP SHOW #8 will launch on March 20 at the New & Abstract Showroom, showcasing a dynamic mix of established and emerging artists. This year, the exhibition is enhanced by the special guest curation of Otto Baum, who will present the New Perspectives section—featuring seven Berlin-based artists pushing the boundaries of abstraction and figuration.
A Fresh Curatorial Vision by Otto Baum
As a leading figure in Berlin’s street art movement, Otto Baum brings a unique artistic approach to GROUP SHOW #8. A founding member of KLUB7, Baum has spent over two decades crafting large-scale murals and public performances, blending graphic design, painting, and abstraction. His signature “Ottotools” technique—a specialized process for creating vibrant, highly intricate murals—has earned him international acclaim.
By curating New Perspectives, Baum introduces a selection of artists whose works challenge conventions and offer fresh interpretations of contemporary visual language. The lineup includes:
