Word of the designer.
Designed in Italy in summer of 2023, modeled in 3d this autumn in Germany, manufactured this winter in Bavaria, black coated last week in my workshop! I call it micro desk :D It's about 14x10x8cm, made of 5 parts that just slide together and hold by material stiffness. It's pretty solid.
The idea was to harbour a "Barnacle cluster" we bought on holiday in Italy. It's a high ticket, coral build assembly of shells that sells for hundreds of euros. But it was sold without a stand so I decided to design one.
To me the Barnacle, especialy the purple ones look super scifi alien like, so that's why I wanted to give the stand a kind of Ellen Ripley look to it. Now it started living it´s own life (sounds like a bad news in alien Universe :D) and I designed 3 different variations of it, with sizes up to 30x21x16cm. So that was really fun! Let´s see how it´s going to stand against the competition from Weyland Yutani and Hanka Robotics. Don´t give up the resistence!
